At Burlington County Therapy:

We treat adults for depression, anxieties, phobias, addictions and similar emotional disorders, using behavioral and cognitive methods that have clear scientific support of their effectiveness and efficiency. They do not involve extensive exploration of a patient's childhood or unconsciousness mind. School Services

LOW TO NO COST TO THE SCHOOL SYSTEM! Fees for these services would be covered by the students health insurance for most cases.

We are offering our services to students and families and school districts. Realizing that school budgets and funding have been stretched to the point of implosion, my services would not cost the school system any money and in some cases it may help reduce operating costs while at the same time providing expanded services for your students and families. Here is what I offer:

* Students can be seen at my office or arrangements to see the student at your facility can be made. My program provides individual psychotherapy sessions an conjoint parent-child sessions offering behavior therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy and play therapy. The program offers treatments for aggressive behaviors; defiance/oppositional behaviors; impulsivity; mood swings; obsessive/compulsive behaviors; panic, phobia and general anxiety; sadness; school and test anxiety; separation difficulties; bullying; esteem; depression; shyness and inhibitions; and worries and fears.

* Parent Intervention and Consultation offers individual and/or group psychotherapy sessions to help parents overcome their own emotional challenges; improve the parent-child relationship; learn child management techniques; reduce the impact of stress associated with parenting and teach the parent to help their child develop better emotion and behavior management strategies. Treatment techniques include behavioral parent consultation, behavior therapy, cognitive-behavior therapy, mindfulness and acceptance commitment therapies, parent training programs for child management and video-based parent training program.

* Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) is a specialized positive and intensive program for children up to 7 and their parents, designed to enrich the quality of their relationship, reduce parenting stress and improve overall child behavior. PCT is appropriate for families with child relationship problems and highly stressed parents who have children with adjustment problems, aggressive behaviors, attention difficulties, oppositional and defiance problems, separation anxiety and social difficulties. Treatment techniques include behavioral parent consultation, behavior therapy, cognitive-behavior therapy, mindfulness and acceptance commitment therapies, parent training programs and video based parenting programs.
